All the Good Girls are at Home with Broken Hearts
I had a moment of pure joy yesterday. It was a cool day here in Chicago, sunny and the leaves are beautiful colors. I drove from my house to Target to pick up some last minute things for Baby C's Halloween party. Free Fallin' came on the radio and I blasted it and sang along and all felt right in the world.
And then I came back to reality. The hub has been sick for 5 days, Char has been sick and is teething, I'm working myself into the ground at work and we're all cranky as hell. I just threw out the rest of the Halloween candy as I know that stuffing my face with chocolate all day has not helped the mood issue.
Char was adorable yesterday. He had six friends over in the afternoon. I had to work for most of it, but came up for a while and took some photos.
Here is something completely out of left field, but it drives me nuts. I absolutely hate sippy cups. They just gross me out. I know that I have a super keen sense of smell, but come on. The hard plastic holds odors. I cannot stand picking up a cup before pouring milk in it and smelling dish soap. And don't get me going on those stupid plastic valves. It is impossible to feel like one of those has actually been sanitized. Plus, I'm constantly fighting with my husband over it as he forgets to take them out and clean them separately from the cup. Twice now, I've pulled out a valve before I gave it to my guy to find moldy milk gunkus inside. I am constantly yelling at B, "You're going to kill the baby!"
Yeah, I'm a bit on edge as of late.
Monday night, Tori Amos at the Auditorium Theatre second row seats. I need a lip gloss boost in my America.

Your husband will never learn! Buy the disposable ones with the lids that have no valves! you can reuse them but also toss them when you want! Or teach him to drink through a straw and get the Tupperware cups, that have lids and you put a NEW straw in each time, I love them! I think you can get them at target too, if they still sell Tupperware, or at the holiday time the mall usually have a stall selling their junk.
(or else, maybe the mold will really make him healthier? that's is what's in antibiotics too right?)
As for being sick! You all have to stop that! Its time to be done with sicknesses at your house, tell all those germs to go away! you've had enough, open your windows and shades every day, (put a coat on if you're cold). We need to think of something for you all, you're sickness year is over, you've had enough, tell the germs that too! I wish you luck! I feel for you all! I send you lots of hugs to get well!
To help get rid of the orders, you can put crumpled up news papers in the plastic cup, bowl, dish and over and let it sit there over night, and the paper helps absorb the odor, and after you wash and rinse the cups do the final rinse in cold water, that seems to help too, or do you use you dishwasher? I always used the dishwasher for everything, LOVE the dishwasher!
Have fun at Tori Amos! You're going to have a blast! Glad you finding some time for fun! (Since you already know you work too hard!). And I'm proud of you tossing out the candy! Good for you, I think I might have to do that too, I think we have 50 pounds of candy, it is awful! and I think I ate about 7 pounds already!
Well off to clean, hope you didn't tire of reading this, or wonder why I keep writing about stuff you don't want to read! Ha!
We're off to the circus tonight, what fun.
Hugs to you all!

J, you rock! Seriously, always love your comments and I was happy to get a comment full of answers. I'll try the different sippy alternatives and let you know how they go.
I'll let the germs know that you told them to get out.
Have fun at the circus.
