Wow! Where have I been? Smelling the roses and working my butt off. Strange things are afoot at the Circle K, my friends.
I was supposed to be at a conference in DC last week, however, I had a kidney stone over the weekend, so I bagged the trip. It wasn't bad, as far as kidney stones go. I haven't had one in six years. I'm scheduled to see a specialist about it next week to get it sorted out. No worries.
B and I had the MOST FABULOUS dinner at Sepia pre-kidney stone. Holy shit that was good. We're going again this weekend becase it was so good. And have any of you ever had a Pimm's Cup? Damn, that's a mighty fine cocktail.
Got Baby C another haircut last weekend. Wowzo! He looks like such a cutey. He's so close to talking. He has maybe 15 words. But he's constantly babbling with different inflections in his voice. Man, do I love my baby guy.
Been spending a lot of time out in the garden lately. It's getting there. I'm second away from calling our yard service/landscaping guys and asking them to cut down the trees on the west side of our yard. We're planning to put up a fence on that side of the property within the next couple of weeks. So, they will have to come down then. B and I have been arguing over this for a while, but I'm ecstatic at the thought. Much more of my plants will be getting direct sun. I'm also going to tear out all of the rest of our ivy with the exception of what is on our arbor. I HATE that shit.
I'm dying for a long weekend somewhere. I'm seriously thinking New Orleans since my last trip there sucked. WN, is a long weekend too short? (Hi!)

Miguel's uncle brought us back a bottle of Pimm's when he was on England a few years ago and made us a drink with teh cucumbers and all. I was so obssesed with it, it was so refreshing. I gobbled it down like it was iced tea. The bottle was gone in 2 days.

OMG...that video is too cute...EiEi....OOOO...made me kinda mushy (keep in mind that these are the hormones of a crazy lady doing the talking!).
A long weekend in NO wouldn't be too short if you stuck to the French Quarter and surroundings. It's enough time to get in a couple of good meals, drink a few cold ones and catch some great music. In fact, it's probably just right...:*)
If you don't have a prefered hotel, I might suggest Iberville Suites...it's near the Quarter, small-ish, super clean and nicely appointed AND....is adjoined to the Ritz...meaning that you can charge food and spa services to your room. And the Iberville...only a FRACTION of the price of the Ritz...would stay there again in a heartbeat!
