Stop for a Minute, Baby I'm So Glad You're Mine
Uh...I'm working on an exhaustive post about my sister and I. But it's just not ready yet. It's too much whining, not enough substance. So I will keep plugging away.
In the meantime, I woke up feeling totally overwhelmed by the chaos in my life this morning. And then at 6:45, the nanny called to say she was sick today. I thought my head was going to explode from stress.
But, B was able to stay home in the AM and I decided that I was just way too stressy and that I needed to chill and I was going to just let all clients know I would be out today and I took baby C to the zoo. We had a total blast!
We cruised through the cat house first, but it wasn't very exciting. So we tooled over to the Kids' Zoo. C was kind of annoyed at first. Then he was just interested in the other kids around him. BUT THEN, we sat over by the otters for a bit and he LOVED them. We sat next to a glass walll. The lower half was below water and the otters were swimming like mad. They kept doing backflips off the glass wall and Charlie squealed and giggled and cooed. He had a blast.
Other hits were the flamingos, ducks, beavers and pigs. Goats were NOT COOL. He and I looked in on a herd of goats during feeding time. They were running around like mad and all of the sudden he just started crying big baby tears. I got him out of there fast.
We spent some time sitting on a bench eating some snacks and I felt so relaxed and the day was so perfect. I kissed my baby guy on the head and we giggled and my goodness, what an amazing day.
I can't say I'm sorry that our nanny was sick at all.
'Night.

I love taking little people to the zoo, they always have fun! Our favorites were the penquins and the garillos! Keep taking days off when you can! You need to relax too!
